Varadero

My story

Location: Richfield, MN Varadero is such a gentle, sweet boy! He loves the safe feeling of being contained so he’ll voluntarily spend most of his time in his kennel or playpen right now. That doesn’t mean he prefers to be alone though! Varadero’s preference (which he will vocalize) is to have a person hanging out nearby, ready to give head scratches when he ventures out for company. He does well in his kennel overnight if he’s in the same room as another dog or person but will howl if he’s left alone. He’s being fostered with one of his brothers, Guantanamo, and loves playing with him as well as the fosters resident dogs. He would do best in a house with a well-mannered dog who can show him the ropes! Varadero is working on potty training and doing a great job! He still has occasional accidents in the house and overnight in his kennel but he’s good about using pee pads. He really dislikes being on leash, though, and would probably do best in a house with a secure fenced-in yard. He will be a great dog for a person who is willing to be patient with him as he learns how to be an indoor doggie and someone who is ready to be attentive to his needs. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
