My story

Hi there, I’m a pretty Terrier mix named Ladybird. I am about 5 years old, 18 lbs, and was taken in by 4 Little Paws Rescue after my owners passed away. It can be confusing and scary to start a new life in a new environment with new people, but I have been handling it well and am blossoming in baby steps and feeling happy again, especially if I’m being offered a doggy treat, LOL! I get along with other dogs and coexist nicely, but other than playing with some dog toys and chew bones, I am not really a doggy playmate… at least not yet. I enjoy sitting beside my person for pets and words of kindness, with my tail wagging, and I’m feeling relaxed and happy. I am housebroken, potty pad trained, only bark to alert, and will go on a walk and explore some new places with a bit of encouragement. I do okay in a crate and sleep there each night. I enjoy the outdoors, running around, and exploring. My foster mom says I’m a wonderful, smaller dog with a cute personality, sweet but shy, and in need of a bit of patience as I fall in love with a new family. My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to being an East Coast girl, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast.
