My story

EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE3PM SUNDAY 07/06/25AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR FOSTER THROUGH PACC Name: CecilyAnimal ID: A868467Age: 6 yearsWeight: 69.0lbs.Web Link: 24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A868467About: Sweet Cecily: A Golden Girl Seeking a Forever Home (or a Loving Foster!)This sweet, old soul, Cecily, is yearning for a calm, quiet home where she can finally be pampered and soak up all the love she so richly deserves. At PACC, we`re holding out hope for an adopter, but we`d be thrilled to find her a dedicated foster who understands the unique charm of a senior dog.Cecily`s journey to us was heartbreaking. She was found abandoned in a condemned house, left without food or water – a truly unfair betrayal by people she once trusted. Despite her difficult past, Cecily immediately revealed her incredibly sweet nature upon arriving at PACC. She`s been a delight, even enjoying day trips up to Mt. Lemmon, where she enjoyes car rides and leisurely strolls in the cool mountain air. She takes treats with the utmost gentleness, is wonderfully mellow, and incredibly well-behaved. While she might be a little nervous when first meeting new people, she warms up quickly, even with kids.Cecily spent some time in a foster home after her spay and a mass removal, needing a quiet space to recover. During that time, we learned some valuable insights about her. She`s house-trained (a huge bonus!) and does well when left alone. She enjoys playing with stuffed toys, is a lovely slow walker, and absolutely adores belly rubs. We also discovered she has a fear of bikes, which causes her to bark, but with a good hold on her leash and a redirection of her attention, both she and the cyclist can remain safe.Unfortunately, Cecily had an incident in her foster home involving a small dog. While the foster was holding a small dog, Cecily jumped up and grabbed the small dog by the leg. When another large dog in the home intervened, and the foster grabbed Cecily by the collar, the foster was bitten on both hands. It was a devastating situation that led to Cecily`s return to the shelter for a 10-day quarantine.Despite this isolated incident, Cecily has continued to thrive at PACC. She currently shares her kennel with another dog, enjoys going to playgroups, socializes well with other canines, and is easygoing and affectionate with her handlers.Cecily deserves her chance to find a loving forever home where s
