My story

Hi there! My name is Nova and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 1 year old, female, Husky mix who came to SB Humane in search of a loving home. I’m a gentle, blue-eyed girl with a shy side, but once I feel safe, my sweet and playful personality shines through. I’ve lived with other dogs before and have been told I’m a friendly, easygoing companion. I’d do best in a home with older kids who understand I might need a little time to warm up. I love toys, yard zoomies, and exploring the world at my own pace. This is all a big adventure for me, so I’d really benefit from a patient family who can help build my confidence and continue my training as I settle in. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
