Meet Shea! Shea is a smart and curious boy who will do anything for food! He is currently in foster and they say he learns quickly when there are treats involved. He's sleeps in his crate, he walks nicely on a leash, and he loves having doggy pals to rough house with. He would do best with a house of larger animals only since he has a rougher playstyle and it is highly recommended that there is at least one other dog around. He seems to watch other dogs and learn from them how to interact with the world. Shea is still learning how to be confident in new places and with new people, so he also needs a loving and patient home to help bring him out of his shell. Could you be the perfect home for him? Call the Ranch to set up a day to come meet him! This puppy, as well as several other dogs and puppies, are currently in our program through a special collaboration with Siskiyou County Animal Control. Due to severe overcrowding and limited resources in the region, many shelters are faced with incredibly difficult decisions. Together, we’re working to give these dogs a better chance by finding them loving homes or transferring them to partner rescues. They’re available for adoption just like our Rescue Ranch pups — but because of the urgency of the situation, they may be transferred quickly. If you're interested, we highly encourage you to act fast — they deserve a loving home, and it could be yours! When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with 911PetChip We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds) by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required), and a portion of the cost will be refunded. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated. The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies ) APPLY NOW July 25, 2025, 3:32 pm
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shea, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
