My story

Kuzco’s story is one of resilience and transformation. When he first arrived, he was completely feral—terrified of people and unsure if he could trust anyone. After living in a home where he was constantly chased by dogs, it’s no surprise he came to us scared and defensive. But with patience, time, and a whole lot of gentle care, Kuzco has finally accepted that he likes us—and we love him right back! Now he leans into scratches, seeks out attention, and enjoys the simple comforts of being safe and loved. When Kuzco came to us, he was covered in painful mats that were pulling on his skin. To help him feel better, he had to be fully shaved, but his gorgeous long coat will grow back in no time, and we know it’ll be even more stunning. Because of his past experiences, Kuzco will need a calm, dog-free home where he can continue to feel secure. He deserves a family that will be patient, loving, and understanding as he continues to blossom into the wonderful, affectionate companion we know he can be.
