My story

Kodi is a 4â&#194&#128&#194&#145y/o 90lb mix who we adopted as a puppy: loving loyal and playful yet anxious with small kids. After intense work with several behaviorists we had to admit that our home with 2 small kids doesn't set him up for success. Indoors he’s lowâ&#194&#128&#194&#145maintenance—fully houseâ&#194&#128&#194&#145trained nonâ&#194&#128&#194&#145chewer respects boundaries naps 9 – 5 and can stay alone though he prefers snoozing near you. Outside he’s mediumâ&#194&#128&#194&#145energy: enjoys hikes dogâ&#194&#128&#194&#145park play and group outings walks politely on leash ignores urban noise and has solid offâ&#194&#128&#194&#145leash recall. He travels well and is a courteous hotel/campsite guest. Kodiak warms slowly to strangers benefits from a quiet retreat when guests visit and occasional situational anxiety meds (e.g. vet trips). He needs his humans to understand what kind of pets he enjoys and to notice when he’d rather have space. Ideal home: calm dogâ&#194&#128&#194&#145savvy patient willing to continue positiveâ&#194&#128&#194&#145reinforcement training. Reward: an affectionate goofy adventure buddy and devoted shadow. We are helping Kodi's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.April 26, 2025, 12:40 am
