My story

Stella is a very sweet but shy pup that would love a calm environment to go home to. Once she`s formed a bond with her person, she loves to spend time in their lap, cuddling and giving them kisses. She enjoys taking walks, playing with other dogs, and curling up in the softest bed for a nice nap. I recently arrived at HSC from the ASPCA’s Behavioral Resource Center in Asheville as a graduate of their program. By considering me for adoption, you will help me continue my journey of learning ‘how to be a dog’ and gaining my confidence around people. It took many months to get me here and I need a quiet, patient home that will help me continue to learn and stay safe living in a home. My adoption comes with a behavior resource packet and continued support from the ASPCA’s BRC. All adoptions are handled on a first-come, first-served basis at our Adoption Center, located at 1348 Parker Drive. No appointment is needed to meet your future furry friend! Hours: Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–5 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.–7 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
