Location: St Paul, MN This sweet girl loves people! She is very popular during our neighborhood walks and enjoys being pet by all the friends we meet. She gets along really well with adults and kids, she has been around kids as young as 5 years old. Dora is a low to medium energy dog, she may enjoy being an active outdoorsy dog if that’s what her human was into. She is good with other dogs but doesn’t really engage them in play very often, she would rather hang out with people. After a busy day supervising her foster mom and entertaining her foster dog sister running around the yard she loves to just be lazy on the couch. She walks on a leash like a dream, but will try to chase squirrels, bunnies or cats. She does not like being tethered on a lead unless you are close by so she can keep an eye on you. Dora does very well in a kennel, initially it required some treat bribery to get her in but we have made good progress on going in more willingly. Dora is completely potty trained. We are working on some of her house manners, like counters and tables, it isn’t a big issue but want to make sure she knows these are not her space. She does not beg for food but can be easily motivated to learn with treats and positive reinforcement. Overall she is quiet, very well mannered, affectionate and oh so lovable. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dora, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
