My story

Location: Minneapolis, MN Hi! My name is Ocean, but my family calls me Mira (Sanskrit for Ocean), because I have the most striking blue eyes. I am extremely curious, and clever, so I definitely need a lot of stimulation to be happy and content. I love my puzzle toy and exploring outside. I've been with my foster family for just a week but I'm doing very well with my potty training. I poop outside, and have had very few pee accidents inside since my first day. I'm just a young pup so I sometimes get a bit nippy but I am working on it. I can be distracted with a chew toy or sometimes tummy rubs, which I do love. I'm not super cuddly but I can enjoy a few minutes of calm while being held in your arms or on your lap (if there is something to look at). I'm learning commands like sit, down, come, bed, kennel, and others pretty quickly and since I live in the city I'm practicing walking on a leash and stopping before crossing the street. There are no other animals in my family so I don't yet know how I will get on, but I do love all sorts of people. I'm going to be a wonderful companion for an active person/family who is willing to help me learn! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
