Goose

My story

Goose is looking for an adopter who'd like to have one very snuggly, affectionate, clever and playful cat. He is a lap cat extraordinaire, loves to be held, and will purr the whole time. Playtime? Goose loves to chase a bouncy ball or catch toy birds on a string, and he'll be happiest if he can have some energetic playtime followed by lots of snuggle time. Goose was found as a stray out in the cold telegraphing ""HELP ME"" with his big golden green eyes. He was emaciated, covered with ticks, not neutered but very curious about people. Quickly, he began returning for food and became increasingly affectionate until he was able to be caught and given the medical attention he so dearly needed. Goose's affectionate, cuddly and inquisitive nature makes him easy to love. However Goose does not do well with other cats, so he would do best as the only cat in a home. Although he bullies other cats, he is currently living peacefully with a chill, medium-sized dog that is calm around cats. Goose always wants to greet and get attention from guests, and has experienced children ages 8 and up. He's done well with kids in that age range who show reasonably good cat manners like being gentle and calm. We haven't seen him yet with kids younger than that. Goose is doing great with his new indoor life. He has plenty of toys, a snuggly bed, and he uses a scratching post instead of scratching furniture. His dream is to have a cat savvy person or family who can give him all of the playtime and cuddles he deserves.
