My story

Don`t let her sassy (but beautiful) looks fool you! Xena is a sweetheart through and through. I have had the pleasure of fostering her for a few weeks now and she has been nothing but a gem. I was told she was having a hard time at the shelter and even within the first day of bringing her in, her stress quickly alleviated and I am confident she will come out of her shell even more over time. She has not shown any aggression during our time together and overall is just an angel who wants love and ALOT of sleep. I have tried to play with her with some toys but she is definitely an independent girl who likes to play by herself with toys. She does get a little scared if I move my arms too quickly or walk towards her too quickly but I can tell with each day, she realizes I am not a threat and is getting more used to the sudden movements. Of all the cats I’ve fostered, she is the most laid back. She just wants a nice little space to cuddle and watch me curiously as I move around my day. After her long naps she would come up for pets (softest pets ever) and would lay down by me and if it were up to her, I’d pet her for hours straight. She also welcomes me picking her up for some snuggles but will let me know when she’s over it. I am not sure how she would do with other pets around, I think she may do the best with a loving family without any animals but she also seems very adaptable so she may surprise you. Anyone would be so lucky to have this sweetheart in their home!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Xena, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
