My story

I’m Diplo, a maltese/shih tzu mix with a bunch of personality in a small package!I came to the Humane Society of York County when my owner was no longer able to care for me. My estimated birth date is April 2015 and I’m a compact boy at 22 pounds.I may be a senior, but I have plenty of pep in my step. I’m in a foster home and I love my daily walks with my foster sibling, and occasionally I like to start the day with a brisk zoomie. I’m working on my stamina with my walks and not ready to hike a mountain yet, but I dearly love getting out and around every day! I’m an excellent leash walker.I’m that proverbial dog who never met a stranger. I’ll dispense a flurry of kisses as soon as I meet someone. I’m a lap dog and love hanging out with my people and will follow them room to room. I’m also a big fan of chest and belly rubs!I get along nicely with other well-mannered dogs, and I do well with my laid-back foster sister.Likes: Chest rubs, short walks, snacks, perching on a lap, sun-bathing on the patio.Dislikes: Being picked up, not getting snacks when I request them.I’m a mellow guy most of the time and don’t require a lot of daily activity.
