Wesley is part of a teenaged triplet crew (along with Princess Buttercup and Inigo) who came to us recently from a downstate kill shelter. These poor kittens have clearly never had the joy of living in a home, and they so want to learn how to be the perfect cats - but they need your help. Wesley is the shyest of the three kittens, but he has come so far in just a week with his foster mom. He now meows along with his brother and sister whenever he isn't getting enough attention and will literally crawl over them if she's petting one of them instead of him. He'll stretch out a paw to poke at you to let you know that he's still there if you do something crazy like just watch the kittens play or clean the litter box instead of pet him. He started out very skittish, but he was won over by his love of lickable treats and soon discovered that he loves pets and scratches under his chin even more. You could always tell that he wanted to be part of the party but just wasn't quite sure how. Give him just a little it of patience - and maybe a lickable treat or three - and he'll fall in love with you. He does love to play with the cat dancer and other toys. He's especially fascinated by the bouncy ball and loves to chase it and capture it. He is very bonded to his brother and sister, and the three of them generally sleep in a pile. We would love to see him adopted with one (or both!) of them. As a kitten, he needs to go home either with one of his siblings or another young cat or into a home that already has another young cat he can play with and bond to. Because of his aversion to loud noises and sudden movements, he should not go into a home with younger children. Wesley is a sweet cat, and he's absolutely gorgeous. He's also clearly very intelligent - more so than his brother and sister, but don't let them know we said that. Don't let his initial shyness keep you from bringing him home and giving him the life he deserves! Wesley is up to date with routine shots, litter box trained, altered and micro chipped.
