My story

Meet The Duke & Sundance – Two Tiny Terriers with Big Hearts! The Duke Male 7 pounds 5 months Up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped Sundance Female 6 pounds 5 months Up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped Brother and sister bonded pair. THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Fee: $750.00 Double the fluff, double the fun! The Duke and Sundance are an inseparable pair of tiny terriers who are looking for a forever home together. These pint-sized pals are full of love, curiosity, and just the right amount of scruff. Life hasn’t always been kind to them, but they’ve never let that dim their spark. Now, they’re ready for a fresh start — and a gentle hand to guide them. The Duke is the brave one, always the first to sniff out new adventures (or snacks). Sundance is more reserved, happy to follow The Duke's lead with a wag and a bounce. Together, they’re the perfect balance of bold and bashful. These two are still learning how big and wonderful the world can be, so they’ll need a patient adopter who’s ready to show them the ropes — from leash walks to couch snuggles and everything in between. They thrive on routine, soft voices, and kind hearts. If you’ve got space in your home (and your lap!) for two loyal little shadows who will adore you forever, The Duke and Sundance are ready to meet you. Minimal shedding Will need quarterly grooming to keep their coats in good shape and to keep matts from occurring Mostly potty training ( puppies do not have full control of their bladders until 6 months old. Will need to start taking heartworm prevention in June of 2025 (This will not be covered by the rescue) More info from the foster parents! Hi my name is The Duke, or little dude like my foster mama calls me. I am a a super happy playful guy who loves toys! I mean I have a pile and just keep making it bigger! I will steal anything I think is a toy, slippers included, but my foster mom says I can’t have them all. So I’m looking for a place that will let me hoard all the toys! I am a really good boy about going outside to potty, but will use a potty pad in a pinch. I love the cats, they run and play with me all the time, foster mom has to put up a gate so I can’t keep chasing them, even though it’s so much fun. The little humans are fun to chase and nip at, so I need some work about no nipping. I am the biggest cuddle bug and love to sleep on your chest, even if you’re asleep. I am looking for a fun house where my sister and I can live, love, and play. My name is Sundance, but I prefer Sunny! My name fits my little personality, I love everyone, well maybe not those things called cats they have mean mittens, so I stay far away. I am also not too sure about those miniature humans, but I’ve only met them once, so once I learn they drop good food on the floor they may not be so bad. I love my brother and absolutely won’t go anywhere without him, and I mean anywhere! I am learning how not to chew on everything with your fingers included, and the whole potty thing is a work in progress but I’m a good girl and love cookies. Please fill out an adoption application on our website MFDM.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt The Duke, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
