My story

Sweet Ivy is 1 year old. We aren't 100% sure of her breed. She is a sweet mutt!  Ivy will need a committed family that will give her time to learn a routine and settle in and train her. She is currently with a foster family. If you would like to make Ivy a part of your family your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org.  Ivy's adoption fee is $200The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
