Radiate

My story

Radiate is an adult cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She is apprehensive of people and while showing no aggressive behaviors, she appears wary of human contact. It is difficult to predict if she will respond to socialization but we recommend offering high value treats and food to help build a positive association to humans. Please be mindful that older cats will require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: Our architectural genius, Radiate, has crafted a true wonder right here in Adoptions with only a little help from us. I don't have the terminology, but think castle fort. We've asked Radiate if she'd be interested in construction for other cats on the side and though she's declined, please feel free to come in and admire her work. She's busy so you might not see Radiate herself though her designs are available. Radiate hasn't been coming out very much, but she was left in a building with many other cats and without food or water, so we've been encouraging her to make herself at home on a timeline that makes sense to her. Taking that to heart, she built one herself and now huddles under her blankets, deep in her plans and thoughts as she works to get through the day. Radiate's not the biggest fan of all the noises at the shelter, but will allow some pets when it's quiet. Not one to turn down a snack, she's hoping you'll come by with some and she can show you the blueprints she's working on for her dream forever home.
