My story

Honey was saved by a good samaritan with her two sisters. She is about 3 years old and a real sweetheart, but she needs some time to warm up and someone with experience and patience with skittish/timid dogs.  She loves to play and would do well in a home with other dogs.She is in a foster home so is use to being in a home . If you would like to make Honey a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org.   HONEY'S ADOPTION FEE IS $170The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
