My story

Wendall is fostered in Ottumwa, IA. Check out this stunner!!  Wendall is a young male red merle male Australian Shepherd.  He was born 12/14/2024 and is currently about 30 lbs.  He will likely be about 50-55 lbs when he fills in and is full grown.   Wendall arrived in rescue when his breeder was unable to sell him and his sibling (already adopted).  He was a little shy at first, but he is really opening up and learning so many new things.  His foster home runs a doggy daycare, and he has truly been enjoying it.  He is good with dogs of all sizes and cats.  He is crate trained and house trained. He is still working on his leash walking skills.  He has done nicely with some off leash play and he wants nothing more than to please his people.   Wendall will need an adopter, who is willing to continue socializing him and continue his training.  He will require an active adopter who is committed to mental and physical stimulation, as needed for any young aussie.   Wendall is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.
