It`s an easy slip of the tongue to say `Cheery,` when thinking of 9 year old Bulldog mix, Cherry, because this is one happy girl! Cherry may have come back to PACC under sad circumstances of no fault of her own, but this resilient pup is ready to turn over a new leaf with her furever family, who will welcome her with open arms and open doors. Immediately before arriving at PACC in April, Cherry was kept outside. Upon landing in temporary foster, it became clear that this girl was someone`s loved house puppy in her youth. She`s potty trained. She knows what toys are, and especially enjoys stuffies and nylabones. She enjoys a couch nap, doggy beds, and will longingly look at the bed (while she would be welcome on it, it is too high up for her!). She also tells me she enjoys the AC - Tucson is too hot to live outdoors all the time!Cherry is easy to love. Cute, affectionate, and active, Cherry loves toys and following her people around. A senior, with her frame size, she would benefit from gradual weight loss. She gets winded easily and can`t do prolonged walks, but she has light in her eyes and will happily keep you company in and around the house and destuff plush toys! Cherry gives kisses, is known to toss her toys into the air, and rolls over and wriggles for belly pets. She is a doll who doesn`t act her age or size. She previously shared a kennel politely, and would like to meet any potential doggy roommates with similar sweet energy. She is gentle but clumsy, and would likely do well with kids who are aware and respectful of her size. She wants a new beginning, and a true furever family. Will it be you?
