My story

Hey there, fellow humans! My name is Chief and I'm a 9-year-old male Walker Coonhound. Yup, I may be a senior citizen in dog years, but trust me, I've still got plenty of love and spunk to give. Now, let's get one thing straight - I'm not your typical coonhound. Sure, I've got those signature droopy ears and a beautiful tri-colored coat, but I'm more of a laid back kinda guy. My activity level is definitely chill, and I love nothing more than lounging around with my humans. Speaking of humans, I am a constant companion and I'll do anything to be by your side. In fact, I think the term "best friend" was invented just for me. I am affectionate, clever, and oh-so-curious. Plus, my intelligence is off the charts. You'll never have a dull moment with me around. But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my independent time too. I mean, a dog's gotta have some alone time to nap and contemplate life, am I right? As a senior dog, I do have some special needs but don't let that discourage you. I still have so much love to give and I promise to bring endless joy and laughter into your life. So, what do you say? Want to take a chance on a cool and cuddly coonhound like me? Come meet me and see for yourself just how awesome I am. I'll be waiting with my tail wagging and my heart full of love. Let's make each other's lives complete. Woof woof!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chief, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
