My story

How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member, born in care on 09/25/2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Marshland, a shy but sweet dog looking for a loving and patient new home! Marshland can be bashful around new faces and places, and will need an adopter who can help him build confidence at his own pace. Found as a stray, Marshland struggled with leash walking and fear, but he has made great progress with the help of his trainers. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is highly food motivated, making training sessions fun and rewarding. Marshland also loves puzzle toys and snuggling up with his humans once he feels comfortable. Marshland's ideal home will have another dog-social dog to help him feel secure and a calm, structured environment. He will benefit from an adopter who can go at his pace and has experience with fearful dogs. While he's still learning to navigate new spaces, Marshland is making great strides and will thrive with continued positive reinforcement training. He would do best in a home where any children are able to understand his body language and give him space when necessary.
