This petite girl may be a bit timid when you first meet her, but don’t let her quiet introduction fool you—beneath her shyness is a truly affectionate and loving pup.Once Avery begins to feel safe and comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She’ll gently seek out your lap, lean into your touch, and quietly ask for cuddles and attention. She’s not pushy or loud—just a calm, kind presence who wants to be close to her people.She would do best in a peaceful, patient home that will give her the space and time she needs to open up. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will quietly become your best friend and your favorite snuggle buddy, Avery might be the perfect match.Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
