With her petite frame and tender spirit, she may seem timid at first, but her gentle nature is unmistakable.Kandiss is a shy girl, especially in new situations, but she’s incredibly sweet and easy to love. She’s not one to demand attention—instead, she appreciates soft voices, gentle hands, and calm environments where she can take her time to feel safe. Once she begins to trust, she blossoms into a loyal little shadow who enjoys quiet moments, cozy naps, and heartfelt companionship.She gets along well with other dogs who are calm and respectful, and would do well in a peaceful home where she can continue to build her confidence. Kandiss doesn’t need much—just kindness, patience, and a comfy lap or bed to call her own.If you have a calm home and an open heart for a loving senior girl, Kandiss may be your perfect match. She’s ready to trade in her shy glances for soft snuggles and to finally feel what it’s like to be truly loved.Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
