My story

Emily Rose is a quiet, sensitive soul looking for peace and patience. This 4-year-old lynx-point beauty has had a tough road—from a hoarding case as a kitten to losing her home in a house fire. Understandably, shelter life has been hard on her, and she spends much of her time tucked away in a safe spot, trying to make sense of all the change around her. Emily can be wary of fast movements or close interactions and will let you know when she needs space with a hiss or a gentle swat. But she’s not aggressive—just scared. Given time and a calm, understanding home, she may begin to explore and engage on her own terms. She’s shown interest in treats and catnip, and with patience, she’ll continue making small steps forward. She is bonded to her lifelong companion, Clarice, and they must be adopted together. Clarice’s presence brings her comfort and may help her feel a little braver day by day. Emily Rose would do best in a quiet home without young children or other pets—just a peaceful place where she can feel safe and finally exhale. If you believe love is something worth earning, Emily just might be the cat who proves it.
