My story

Meet Bear – Smart, Loyal & Always Ready to Explore! ?? Bear is a 2.5-year-old Short-Tailed Australian Cattle Dog with a big heart, sharp mind, and an adventurous spirit! Born around Labor Day weekend, he’s been raised alongside his brother, Onyx (check out his profile if you`re looking for twice the love!).? Neutered? Up-to-date on vaccines? Monthly flea/tick & quarterly heartworm preventatives? House & kennel trainedBear is loyal to the core and bonds deeply with his people. Whether it’s hanging out in the yard, going for a walk, or lounging at your feet while you relax, Bear just wants to be by your side. He enjoys a good game of tug-of-war (especially with his favorite toy, Chasing Tail) and will play fetch—though he’s known to lose interest when something more exciting comes along!Bear hasn`t had a lot of socialization with other dogs, but he has handled his dog-to-dog interactions well when introduced properly. He can be a little unsure at first, but he reads cues and responds appropriately. In fact, he recently passed all parts of his sociability evaluation with flying colors—Grade A across the board! ??He’s also great with car rides (he`ll hop right in!), children, and is very respectful in the house—he won’t get on furniture unless invited and happily sleeps in his kennel at night. He’s had free roam of the house and yard during the day with no issues.While Bear will alert bark when someone comes to the door, he’s quick to warm up and is very friendly once he knows you’re not a threat. He’s trained to come to a whistle and even touch his nose to your hand on cue—just one example of how smart and eager to please he is!?? Ideal Home:Bear would thrive in an active home that can offer him mental stimulation, consistency, and the affection he craves.
