My story

(DOB 12/21/2024) Due to Fig Newton’s young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local adoption (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).  Fig Newton the absolutely beautiful girl with curly hair that wips up in cute little waves on her back. She is a delightful bundle of joy who brings love and laughter wherever she goes! This charming pup is the epitome of sweetness, with a heart as big as her love for cuddles. One of Figgy's favorite pastimes is snuggling up with her human and canine siblings. There’s nothing better than curling up next to her loved ones, where she can soak up all the affection and warmth. Figgy is a social butterfly, thriving in the company of both people and her furry friends. She loves chasing and wrestling with her canine buddies. She’s always up for a little fun! She'd love a big fenced yard to run and romp with her furry siblings or a family that is active and outgoing. Because of her young and impressionable age Figgy will require another fun-loving and playful pup in her forever home. This is both for energy that abounds but also for good socialization as she goes from puppy to adolescent. Her lovable personality shines even brighter with her food motivation, making training sessions an absolute joy—who can resist those big, eager eyes when it's snack time? This is the best age to do multiple, short training sessions a day that are just like play time for pups, so make sure to build that into your new routine with little Ms. Figgy! She is all but house trained and just keep her on a regular schedule with multiple potty breaks throughout the day. For that reason, Figgy needs someone home the majority of the day. She is not at an age where she can be crated for hours on end without time to play, burn energy, grow and have proper potty breaks. Other than that, she sleeps through the night with her furry siblings without issue. If there are children in the home, the should be older since she is still a puppy and teething, nipping, chasing, jumping and all of the normal puppy phases she will be going through are not a great fit for young ones. She hasn't met kitties yet but most puppies adjust well to dog-savvy cats when introduced at a young age. Figgy is not just a playful companion; she's a loyal friend who brings comfort and happiness to everyone she meets. If you’re looking for a snuggly sidekick to brighten your days with playtime and cuddles, Figgy is the perfect match. Come meet this sweet girl, and let her steal your heart! As part of Fig Newton’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Fig Newton, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2353471##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fig Newton, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
