My story

This 2-year-old Bulldog/Pitbull mix is the ultimate mix of cuddly and playful! Don’t let his sturdy build fool you—Rocky is a total sweetheart who would happily curl up in your lap if you'd let him. He's incredibly affectionate, smart as a whip, and always ready to tilt his head at words he recognizes. (Warning: it’s ridiculously cute.)He adjusted quickly to foster life, and after just a couple of days, he was all in. Rocky is house-trained and crate-trained, although he does so well free-roaming that he doesn’t need to be crated when left alone. He doesn’t bark much, but he’ll “talk” to you with sweet little whines when he wants something—whether it’s cuddles, a toy, or just to say hi.This handsome guy is active but balanced. He loves walks, tug-of-war, fetch, and especially shredding stuffed animals. But when playtime’s over? He’s just as happy snoozing the day away. He'll even try to get under the covers with you!Rocky is very strong, so older kids and experienced dog owners are a better match for his bouncy energy and size. He’s interested (not aggressive) when he sees other dogs and might do best with larger dogs if introduced properly. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
