Meet Zeke — Your Future Adventure Buddy! Zeke is a bold and spirited 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with energy to spare and love to give. He found himself at the Humane Society of South Mississippi (HSSM) on April 23, 2025, after being surrendered by his previous owners — through no fault of his own. Now, he’s waiting patiently (well… as patiently as a high-energy pup can!) for his forever family to find him. Zeke is the perfect companion for an active individual or family who loves hiking trails, evening jogs, or anything that gets the heart pumping. His energy battery never runs low, and he thrives in a fast-paced environment where he can be on the move with his favorite human by his side. He`d do best in a home with older children (10+) or an adults-only household, where he can be himself without worrying about tiny hands or toddler chaos. When it comes to other dogs, Zeke prefers to fly solo. He likes having his space (and his belly rubs) all to himself — and who can blame him? He wants to be your one and only, the star of your show, and the center of all your love and attention. Zeke is not just brawn — he’s got brains too! He’s already mastered “sit” and is eager to learn more. With each training session, he brings enthusiasm, smarts, and a big, infectious smile. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on learning and bonding with his person through fun, structured activity.
