Zen

My story

Hi, I'm Zen! I may be a "senior", but don't let that fool you! My salt and pepper coloring, with a little bit of gray (I'm hoping no one notices) fits perfectly with my secret "disguise". I have the heart of a kitten and am ready to share all of my love. I used to spend a lot of time by myself (before coming here), but I prefer to have spend my evenings unwinding with my person. I'll even join you while you get ready in the morning (as long as it isn't too early, I need my beauty sleep- that's how I stay looking young and my mind sharp)! I dream of opening my own bakery one day, but knead someone to help me behind the scenes. I'll make biscuits (also known as kneading) anywhere, anytime. Standing on a table- yep! Laying in my bed- of course! While you are petting me- absolutely! I enjoy cuddles, but of my own choice, and will purr away as you scratch my chin. I like to head bump with people just like I would with cats. With my age comes its own quirks, of course! I like a quieter and slower life style, after all I do have a bit of stiffness in my paws in the morning. I'm not the biggest fan of dogs and would prefer to live out my golden years on center stage. Like my name suggests, I prefer to find some inner peace at times (aka all the naps in my little bed). If you think you have the purr-fect home, I would love to meet you! Zen is an All-Star cat! My adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption! His adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and he will go home with a few enrichment goodies to help get him off to a good start! Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
