My story

Mushroom is at our Everyday Adoption Center (1101 S Canal St.) You can visit our Everyday Adoption Center at any time during open hours, no appointment needed. Fill out our quick adoption application on our website before visiting to streamline the process. Mushroom is a cute, cuddly, nonstop purring machine. She’ll let you know when she wants pets (often!) and likes to plop next to you with her two front paws in your lap. She settled in and warmed up quickly, asking for chin scratches from the first day and transitioning seamlessly to her new environment. Mushroom’s a chill gal who doesn’t get too frazzled by anything, even the occasional belly rub. She rarely initiates play but does like wand toys that have ribbons and LOVES some time with her cardboard scratchers — but she hasn’t touched the furniture! Most of all, she likes to lounge. She’s comfortable snoozing no matter what’s going on around her and will even put herself to bed upstairs at the end of the day. Dog sociability: Unknown - possibly with proper slow introduction to calm, cat-friendly dog Cat sociability: Not a huge fan but can cohabitate with other cats who respect her space! Kid sociability: Would do best with kids who will respect her boundaries! Likes: Headbutts, chin rubs, cardboard scratchers, rolling in catnip, wand toys with feathers or ribbons, leaning on you for pets Dislikes: Being left out of whatever you’re doing, getting her nails clipped. Not super treat-motivated! The adoption fee is $100. All cats are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
