My story

Gatsby has overcome so many struggles but is now flourishing in his foster home! He has made himself right at home and his favorite place is cuddled up next to his foster parents. He has grown to love affection and be your little shadow. Gatsby loves toys and to have calm, supervised play as he continues his recovery from leg surgery. Although Gatsby is nervous around new dogs, he has done well meeting the female dog in the home after a slow and proper introduction - now they are best friends! Gatsby is a silly, active and playful pup, but his recovery is priority number one. The vet is amazed at his progress and Gatsby is set to be fully healed up in no time. Gatsby would love a home where he can rest and continue his recovery so he can get back to his playful self. Once he’s cleared for full activity, Gatsby would do best in an active home that can keep up with his energy and play. Gatsby has shown to be dog friendly and prefer female dogs with proper introductions. This sweet boy deserves to know safe, true love — can you be the one to give it to him?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gatsby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
