My story

Meet M&M! This sweet 35 lb. pup may take after her namesake, but she`s more got more of a soft center than crunchy shell. M&M came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about where her story began—but we’re pretty excited about where it’s headed. While a bit nervous at first, M&M has warmed up beautifully during her time at the shelter. In fact, she`s been known to climb right into a caretaker’s lap during eye drop time, turning medical care into cuddle time. Toys get a curious glance, but people are where the real fun is. M&M continues to grow in confidence every day, so she might just need a change of scenery to let her playful side out. If you have any resident pups at home, we recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match—or consider giving M&M the solo spotlight she may prefer! If you’re looking for an extra sweet companion with lots of potential, M&M just might be your perfect match!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
