My story

Chase is a happy, energetic pup who loves people and is ready to be your loyal best friend! He’s easy to leash and greets new friends with enthusiasm and a big smile. Chase loves exploring the outdoors, enjoying all the good sniffies, and leaning into pets for affection. He can get overstimulated around other animals, especially cats, and would prefer to be your one and only fur friend! Chase is looking for a calm, loving home where he can thrive by your side. Meet Chase at ACCT Philly any day from 10 am to 6 pm VIDEO BEHAVIOR 04/25/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Chase was very vocal outside the gate, howling and barking at the dogs. he was steerable with both and came into the yard like a bullet. he was immediately reactive and very vocal, mounting and growling at Quincey Bones. this started a fight which was broken up quickly before further escalation. 04/24/2025 Medical staff notes: While in the surgery room awaiting surgery Chase was very overstimulated by the cats and some of the other dogs in the room. He would see the cats in their feral dens and start hard barking, growling and pulling the nurse towards the cats. 04/23/2025 volunteer notes: Chase is located in a crate for dog overflow-despite that, he was easy to leash and remove from the crate. He had good kennel presence- loose, wagging tail, neutral face. Outside a member of the public unexpectedly come up and Chase handled it like a champ with a wagging tail and friendly, jumped up a little bit to say hi. But quickly jumped off/ then stayed down. He was excited to be in the dog run and didn’t pay me much attention- even with the offer of treats or toys. He was interested in sniffies! He smelled my treats and lightly chased after a ball but really just wanted to check everything out. Medium energy. He allowed handling all over and leaned into pets. Behavior wise, I would have marked Chase as gold. Upon return to his kennel he resisted and tried to back track. He increasingly got stressed ( whale, red eyes) and had no interest in food. In fairness, the room he is housed in was very loud with barking dogs. Another staff looped a leash behind and we returned with no issue.
