My story

ABOUT RASCAL! Meet Rascal, our larger-than-life 8-year-old boy! This big fella came to HAP after his owner passed away. This was a big change for him and it took him a little while to decompress. Now he's a little more comfortable, he's ready to make another change and find his forever home! Rascal doesn't quite live up to his name, unless he's teasing the other cats! He likes the slower life, napping and taking a leisurely stroll through the shelter. Every so often he gets the urge to play around, but it's usually short lived! *Rascal has a heart murmur. While heart murmurs are serious, with frequent vet visits and medications to manage it, Rascal has many good years left! **Rascal has lived with cats previously, but he likes to annoy them, so we recommend a very tolerant kitty friend. We don't recommend dogs or young children, as he can get overwhelmed easy. ***If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
