My story

Hi there, I’m Yukon! Yep, like Yukon Cornelius, and we have a lot in common! Sure, I might come off as a big, manly guy, but the truth is, I have the sweetest heart and am a friend to all. You could say I come with a lot of references. I was rescued during a holiday week, so the PLR foster team really showed up to help transport and host me until I landed with my current foster mom. That means there are upwards of six people who can vouch for me as an extremely special boy! They say I have the kindest disposition and give the best hugs. (The phrase “king of snuggles” may have been mentioned once or twice!) I’m about 2 years old, but I’m starting from scratch when it comes to basic commands and leash-walking, simply because no one ever taught me before! I’m working on it with my foster mom, always with a big, goofy smile. I sleep quietly overnight in my crate, but I’ll need some support to be left during the day. The good news is I’m not destructive, so if I’m out of my crate, I’m likely just sleeping by your feet. I do really great with other playful dogs! I But don’t worry, if you’re a one-dog home. People are my true favorite, so I would be happy with you just the same! I haven’t been around too many kids, but I think because I’m a little clingy and strong, older or dog-savvy kids would be the best fit. No worries about temper or tolerance here! I’ve been all cleared by the vet, and I’m neutered and microchipped, so I’m ready to meet my forever family!
