My story

Young dog dumped in East DallasI'm Joey the wonder pup! I wonder why I'm not already in your home with you. :) I'm a 1-year-old pup that was rescued after I was trying to survive on the streets. My awesome foster family and FHS took me in, got all my medical vetting complete including: Neuter, Heartworm test, heart worm treatment & now heartworm prevention, puppy shots, rabies, microchipped, flea & worming prevention). Now, I'm ready to find my fur'ever family.  I am high and great fun! I love to play, enjoy going for walks or a run. I would be a great runner or joggers dog.  I love pets and cuddles after I wind down and hanging out with my favorite people and other animals. I am great with other friendly dogs, chill cats and  older, considerate kidss. I'm still learning, so I'd love to join a home that understands I still have a lot of pup energy, lots of love and I will add a lot of joy and laughs to my new home. Approx DOB 3/15/24  Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step it to fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval. Adoption counselors are available onsite at PetSmart most Saturdays & Sundays, 12-4 p.m. to conduct meet and greets and onsite adoptions.
