My name is Smarties and I'm from Missouri. From his foster: Smarties or Smarty Pants depending on his mood is a super sweet puppy. He likes to romp with his sister and the resident dogs but then wants to cuddle with the resident family. He loves the resident kids and is indifferent to the cats. He's a goofy guy who sometimes runs into glass doors or chairs, he also leaps like a deer at times. He's such a fun guy. Sweet Smartie is great with the resident kids but still a puppy. He's does occasionally nibble with his little teeth so if you have small kids they would need to be tolerant that he's learning appropriate mouth behavior. Having chew toys and regular toys for him all around helps to redirect him during his teething time. He is learning that he needs to potty outside but it's a work in progress. Treats and food in general are his favorite things so pairing those with training works well. He's well on the way to understanding "sit" and "drop". Kennel training is also a work in progress. He does make noise when he first goes in because he wants to be with his people. After a bit he settles down nicely. Smarties is a wonderful pup!
