Meet Giles! Giles is sensivite sweetheart who is learning that humans are to be trusted and cuddles are great! It is heartwarming to see Giles start to trust his humans and show his true personality! When Giles first joined his foster home, he was submissive and scared, and liked to hang out in the bathroom by himself. He wasn`t sure about people but was always comfortable with is 3 foster fur sibings. He would probably benefit from another dog his size or smaller in his furever home.Giles is now showing his inquisitive side and is very interested in his people although he still keeps his distance and may go to another room if he feels overwhelmed. He likes to follow his humans around in the house and will typically sit nearby, although he doesn`t jump up on the couch or seek out physical attention. He will let his humans pick him up and he will sit next to his foster parents and let them pet him. He also enjoys gentle brushing with a wire brush. He tolerates indoor bathing.Giles is the sweetest guy, he is quiet and well-behaved, house-trained and crate trained. There have been no accidents in the house! Giles rarely barks, and he has started wagging his tail at his humans, in the morning and when around his foster fur-siblings.At night Giles sleeps in his crate (just say `CABIN!` and he goes right in) but he loves time on the bed with his humans for relaxed snuggles before bedtime and would likely love to sleep on the bed all night. He sleeps quietly through the night. In the morning after he goes outside for potty, he joins his foster siblings on the bed for more snuggles.During the day, Giles goes to his Cabin on his own for a chance to rest without prompting. It seems to be a `safe space` he enjoys.Giles eats well and per the vet is at what should be his permanent weight. He is used to eating his kibble in his cabin so his foster siblings don`t try to eat his food!He enjoys treats, but he is timid and if another dog tries to take his treat, he will let them.He is learning that toys are fun and enjoys `tough` fabric chew toys.Giles does OK with leash-walking but is learning not to pull since he is strong. He hasn`t learned to go potty on the leash. He is calm when he sees other dogs or cats on his walk. He isn`t sure he wants to go on a leash walk, but once he gets outside, he`s ready to go and enjoys walking at least a mile. He does his best walking when on a double leash with one of his foster
