My story

  Meet Nelly — A Border Collie with a Heart Full of Love and a Future Full of Possibilities! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Nelly has finally stepped into the life she was always meant to live — and now she’s searching for a forever family to share it with. This stunning 5-year-old purebred Border Collie spent her early years outside, largely forgotten and left to fend for herself. She had multiple litters of puppies in the dirt, received little affection, and was never allowed indoors… until now. After her former owner was incarcerated, a kind neighbor helped get her surrendered to our rescue — and Nelly’s second chance began. And wow, is she making the most of it!  Now 45 pounds of pure sweetness and spunk, Nelly has blossomed. She’s housebroken, wonderfully affectionate, and adores children — seriously, she might just take over as your kid’s full-time “nanny” if you let her. She’s also great with other dogs and even gets along with cats (yes, you read that right — cats!). We’ve had her spayed, so her days of raising puppies outdoors are behind her. From now on, it’s play, cuddles, and belly rubs only!  But here’s the thing: Border Collies are brilliant, high-energy dogs. They thrive when they have a purpose — whether it’s agility training, playing fetch, or keeping tabs on the kids. Nelly needs a fenced yard and a family who understands that her breed needs both mental and physical stimulation daily. She’s not suited for apartment living, but if you’ve got space to roam and a heart ready to love, she’s your girl. Nelly is more than a pet — she’s a partner, a playmate, and a loyal shadow who will fill your life with joy, laughter, and endless tail wags.
