My story

Email: adoptions@ivhsspca.org **Hi, I'm Susie! 🐾 I'm a sweet, affectionate girl who's happiest when I'm close to my people, preferably soaking up belly rubs and ear scratches! I make friends wherever I go, especially with other dogs. I greet everyone with a wag and a smile, and while I'll happily say hello, I'm not a barker -- just a polite, friendly pup. I'm housebroken and sleep quietly through the night in my crate (even if I'd rather be snuggled up next to you). I love going on sniffy walks and chasing lizards in the yard, and while I'm still learning to not pull on the leash, my foster mom says I'm a smart cookie who picks things up quickly. I already know "sit," "down," and "touch," and I'm working hard on "stay," "place," and "come." I'm also a great passenger. I settle nicely during car rides and enjoy going along for the adventure! When I'm not exploring or cuddling, I enjoy a good chew on a bone or playing with my toys -- sometimes I even entertain myself! I'm the kind of pup who will melt into you for pets but also knows how to settle down and chill.
