My story

Meet Baby BB!! Bluey Berrison is a happy go lucky affectionate boy who has stolen the hearts of the volunteers he's met! Bluey was brought into the shelter when he was found by a good samaritan who unfortunately weren't allowed to have dogs in their home. Since getting to the shelter Bluey has shown he loves cuddles, enjoys playing fetch, and enjoys the company of other dogs in our play group- what a catch he is! Bluey Berrison is now hoping his forever person stops by the shelter to meet him which you can do any day from 10am-6pm. He's available for adoption and foster- he hopes to see you very soon! He showed his very friendly demeanor and wanted pets and cuddles the whole day! He was not very food motivated and did not take any treats. He had good manners on the leash and did not bark. He was all smiles all day! He did very good in the car, on leash and was a super good listener. He knows sit, his name, and come. He is very smart and picks up on things very quickly. He had a good balance between energy and calm. He loved running and playing fetch but also enjoyed sitting down and cuddling. Per Volunteer 4/23/25: Bluey B was a treat to take out. Such a sweet and affectionate dog. They allowed handling all over and enjoy a game of “ tag” as Bluey likes to playfully chase you. Bluey also loves tennis balls and nicely returns and drops them for you. Play group 4/22/25: Playgroup 4/22: Very steerable with spray bottle and shake can. Easy entry into the yard, greeted Valentine with mid-high wags, stood still and tolerated her greeting with high tail, ears back. Timid, submissive - occasionally tucked tail and lowered posture while receiving greetings. Handler oriented, but increasingly opened up to socializing around the other dogs. Mounted Meridian for a few moments but eased off by himself and didn't reattempt. Remained low-key, sociable with Chase and Quincy and Midnight after the incident between Valentine and Chase.
