My story

Lucy Female DSH brown tabby and white Estimated DOB: 09/2024 About: Lucy is a cuddle bug. You can walk around carrying her in your hoodie and she'll be happier than can be. She is just a spunky and playful young cat! Backstory: Lucy has a little bit of a wild story! Someone found her in a carrier in the middle of downtown GR at night outside of a music venue. There was someone sitting next to her on the sidewalk and they were asked if she was their cat which they said she was not. The finder couldn't just leave her in the middle of downtown abandoned in a carrier and very dirty, so she took her home and contacted Fig and Friends to see if we could take her. Much to our surprise, she had a microchip but was never registered after being adopted out from a shelter a few months ago. We've been in contact with the shelter to try to piece this puzzle together with no luck. We do not know how she ended up downtown abandoned in a carrier, but at this point we are thinking that the person next to her was potentially the person who adopted her and they may have been staying on the streets with her or just simply decided they no longer wanted her so told the finder that she wasn't hers (why she was out downtown at night still wouldn't make sense though). Regardless, we are just happy that she is safe and happy. Location: She is currently at the Happy Cat Cafe.
