My story

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAre you looking for a best friend who hangs on your every word, moves when you move, and lives just for you? Charlie is the one for you. Charlie is a fantastic boy! He is not a barky dog, though he snores a bit when asleep as sometimes Frenchies are known to do.  He is well behaved with other dogs, and would likely enjoy another spunky, yet respectful younger pup to play with. However he would also do well as a singleton, or a companion for an older dog. Charlie likes a daily walk, but it doesn’t have to be super long. He may enjoy a few toys like small squeaky balls or squeaky plushies. Charlie walks wonderfully on leash and seems to be uninterested in other dogs and stimuli while out and about. He rides great in the car, and may enjoy a booster seat to see out a window.  Charlie would likely enjoy a home with his human at home most of the time, or someone with a consistent schedule. He seems to thrive best when he knows what to expect. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy to keep you warm or your anxiety at bay, this guy is gonna be your absolute best decision ever.  He’s a wonderful sleep-time snuggle buddy, and he prefers to sleep in bed with his person. Highly recommended to use pet stairs to get on and off beds/couches… because he will jump. And jumping is bad for his spine! Frenchies are known to have spinal issues, and Charlie has a history of indicating pain in his spine. But he’s been well managed since being in foster, though he will require veterinary follow up. You should also be prepared to manage Charlie’s skin conditions, as Frenchies are known to have itchy skin.   Charlie is quite a little character. There is no doubt that if you take the time and effort to bond with him, he will be the best decision you’ve ever made. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
