My story

    My name is Spike Vaughan, and I’m a nine-year-old, 5-pound, cutie patootie Papillon mix. I like being named Spike cause I have a big personality in a tiny body.I am self-confident and like to explore. But I do have a soft side and love snuggles and lap sitting. Other dogs are good, but I am fine without them too. Like most self-assured little guys, I do bark to make sure I am heard. I have also exhibited some separation anxiety when my foster family leaves the house, so apartments, townhomes, condos, etc. would not be a good fit.     I am available for adoption right now and then I will be yours forever! Because I am so tiny, small children are not for me. A quiet, less active household would be ideal. May I suggest an older/retired person? That might work out perfectly.   Here is some additional information you might find helpful:   I potty outside, but I occasionally have accidents. So watch for my cues. I will also head for the potty pad, but sometimes “miss the mark.”     I'm extremely cute, I know you want to adopt me!   * See the link below to complete an adoption application asap.
