My story

Meet Bingo 💙 Bingo wandered into the yard of his foster mom about a month ago, covered in ticks and fleas, likely dumped near the lake they live by. Despite it all, he was incredibly sweet and refused to leave their side. From the beginning, we knew he had something special. From his foster mom: That first week, Bingo was too scared to even leave his kennel—we had to carry him outside, and he would cower at the sight of a leash or collar. But never once was he aggressive. The turning point came when I brought my two young daughters (ages 3 and 4) to visit him. For the first time, he moved on his own following them out the back door and beginning to show signs of trust. Since then, he’s been glued to their side. He loves kids and will circle the playground like a true little herder, always keeping an eye on his girls. Bingo’s also been great around our chickens and goats—curious, but never aggressive. He helps collect eggs every morning and seems to enjoy just watching the animals do their thing. Though he's been kept separate from our dogs during recovery from his neuter surgery and vaccinations, we’re planning introductions soon. He's shown great signs of being well-socialized and calm. Potty training? No problem. Bingo clearly had some training before. He’s reliable outside, though he may still have a little nervous pee now and then—which is improving every day as he gets more comfortable. Bingo has the sweetest demeanor. He’s calm, gentle, and loves nothing more than resting his little face on your chest and staring up at you with those trusting eyes. Once he bonds with you, he’s a loyal snuggler who just wants to be near his people. Car rides are still a big fear for him, but we’re working on that slowly and patiently. Bingo has come such a long way in a short time. He’s ready for a forever home where he’ll be cherished, cuddled, and maybe even get a kid or two to herd. All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee for all of our dogs/puppies is $225.
