My story

Oakley is a 12 year old, 7 lb. Maltese. Are you a homebody who is looking for unconditional love and has an open lap and free hand to dole out lots of pets? Then little Oakley is the boy for you! This sweet older gentleman is ready to find his forever home where he can take some short walks with you in a doggie stroller, but mostly relax in a calm, loving, and secure environment with his people. Oakley has cataracts and is mostly blind but that doesn't stop him from getting around! We could all take a lesson from Oakley in how to live life to the fullest - he is always happy, content, and very easy going! He is house-trained when he follows a routine, but does well in diapers too. He has excellent house manners would do best in a home where his family is home more often than not as he doesn't like being alone too long and gets sad if you have to leave. Oakley enjoys going out in his fenced in backyard where he can safely roam around as his foster mom him. He has the best time getting all his exploratory sniffs in for the day! He has never met a stranger, but would do best in a home with a retired person or couple or adults or a calmer family who is home often. He does well with other dogs and would do best with a dog who matches his energy level. Oakley is so full of love and just deserves a second chance - he promises you won't regret choosing him!
