My story

Meet Remi, Remington, Remi-Roo! How do we know you’re going to love Remi? Because this girl loves everyone she meets with her friendly exuberance, her bunny hops, and her adorable smiles. She melts into your arms for love, snuggles with her stuffed lovies when she lays down for naps in her crate and can learn new commands and tricks easily since she is totally food motivated. She is very gentle to take food, but could probably use a slow feeder. She doesn't get on the furniture at her foster home, but she loves being at the foot of the couch or recliner, just to touch her people. She craves company and loves her friends at day care. She’s good with both small and large dogs. She can be high energy and plays all day, never turns down a nap and sleeps hard all night.  This little sweetheart was roaming the streets when a young man drove by and luckily for her, he was able to get her to safety. Thankfully, he was able to make room for her, friends helped keep her in a home and out of the shelter when he had to go back to school. They contacted us and now she is on her journey to her forever home. She is a wonderful girl with a gentle heart! She is dog-friendly, crate-trained, and knows some basic commands. She does have a lot of energy bursts, so a home with a senior dog may not be the best fit. Remi's pastimes include leash walks, wrestling with her day care friends and napping by the window so she can keep an eye on the neighborhood and bark when the Amazon truck stops. She also loves tug-of-war and chase (with humans or dogs!), chasing the end of a flirt pole and protecting the world from water hose streams. Her foster mom told us that when she was alone, she would find trinkets to bring into her crate that comforted her, like house shoes, but only to snuggle, never to chew. Remi adjusts quickly and after she understood the assignment, potty training was immediate and there were no accidents. She has great recall, especially if there are treats involved. She even let the young man that found her on the streets paint her toenails!

She’s up for whatever adventure you suggest and she loves car rides!
