Looking for a Pittie but the size factor isn’t for you? Meet Charlotte, a perfect Ittie Bittie Pittie that loves other animals! Charlotte is estimated to be just a year old, and weighs in at 28 pounds. We think she’s an American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier mix but of course with rescue it’s always a guess! Fall in love with Charlotte here: https://youtu.be/vgZvvfprtYo?feature=shared One of our favorite things about Charlotte is how wonderfully she gets along with other animals—especially cats! She’s perfectly cat-friendly and has even been spotted calmly cuddled up next to our house cat, Biggie. She’s currently living in a foster home with three cats and has been the perfect housemate, respectful and relaxed with her feline roommates. The key to Charlotte’s heart is certainly other dogs though, she blossoms in canine company. We joke that Charlotte needs her own emotional support dog, and hope she’ll have another dog in her forever home. We had the opportunity to see Charlotte meet a super dog friendly and confident boy named Drizzle, a playful, stable male named Kane, and an uber playful puppy similar in size named Millie. Her favorite was Drizzle, they met politely on leash with a few sniffs, and as soon as the leashes dropped they were off to the races! A spirited game of chase made Charlotte’s day and went a long way to open her up. In her forever home, we think her perfect doggy match is a confident male, not too pushy but always friendly. Charlotte also has excellent manners around other animals. She shares food really well, doesn’t pull on leash too much to meet new dogs, and she even allowed our cat to play with toys beside her without getting jealous or interrupting. Such a gentle soul, Charlotte is a dog that will play but she’ll also settle quickly in the house. She doesn’t mind not being the center of attention, and when one of our K9 Coaches sat down to do some work on her laptop with her in the room, Charlotte was perfect. She didn’t pester for attention, and was content to do her own thing. Perfect WFH office dog alert! Charlotte has completely fallen for her 13-year-old foster brother. She happily curls up beside him while he plays video games and has quickly decided he's her favorite cuddle buddy. We think Charlotte could do really well in a home with older kids who understand she needs a little quiet time now and then. She's the perfect mix of affectionate and independent—just looking for a soft spot to land and someone to lean on. We're more than happy to do additional kid testing to help make the perfect match for this sweet girl. Charlotte has her bags packed, she’s ready to go home! We think she would prefer a quieter home, one with lots of room for sunbathing, naps, and playtime and none of the hustle and bustle of shared walls and close quarters. She’s more of a suburbanite or country girl than a city girl, and really values a good peaceful layabout in the grass. A home with a yard would be best for her. She’ll be an easy integration into any animal lover’s home, and promises lots of laughs and kisses along the way! We are willing to test Charlotte with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
