My story

Meet Walker!Walker is a happy, resilient pup whose spirit couldn’t be broken—even after spending months in a small, rural shelter. Now thriving in a foster home, he’s showing just how loving, playful, and loyal he can be.Walker is crate trained at night and even enjoys sleeping in on weekends without making a peep. He’s working on his house training and uses puppy pads when available. He loves a good game of fetch, especially with tennis balls and toys, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home.He currently lives with kids (ages 8 and 11) and is very kid-friendly. Walker is also cat-friendly, though he can play a bit rough. His foster home includes a dog-savvy cat he interacts with under supervision. While he hasn’t shown any aggression or resource guarding, he’s still learning proper play behavior.Walker is very food- and treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze. He’s still learning how to walk politely on a leash—he tends to get excited and pull or go the wrong direction. With continued guidance, he’ll get the hang of it!Currently weighing around 25 lbs, Walker is expected to be a small to medium-sized dog when fully grown. He would love a fenced yard where he can zoom around and would thrive with an active dog sibling to play with. Due to his high-pitched bark, apartment living isn’t ideal.One of Walker’s cutest quirks? When he’s tired, he lets out the funniest groans and stretches—it’s guaranteed to make you smile.
